Cockermouth Harmonic Society

Cockermouth Harmonic Society is a Soprano Alto Tenor Bass choir with approximately 50 voices covering an age range from 20 to over 80. The society rehearses every Monday evening in United Reformed Church in Cockermouth during term time and gives at least two concerts each year. The society also takes part in events at Carlisle Cathedral.

Everyone is welcome to join at any time. You don’t have to audition or be a trained singer. All you need is a love of music, a good ear and loads of enthusiasm. Joining a choir can help you improve singing technique and, as a bonus, it’s a fantastic way to exercise. Our members come from all walks of life and all age ranges, with one common interest - singing. And it’s not just about singing - it’s a great way to meet people and make new friends. If you are interested in joining, why not try before you buy? There is no charge for the first three rehearsals; just come and see if you like us. Y ou are assured of a warm welcome.

If you'd like to find out more about the choir’s activities, ring the chairman, Tim Hirst, on 01900 827951, or just come along on a Monday evening to join in. For more information about us. our programme of events, and specific rehearsal dates, see our website: www.cockermouthharmonic.org.uk
