Office for the registration of births, marriages and deaths.

Cockermouth Register Office is at the top of Station Street, opposite the Fairfield Garage, and deals with the registration of births and deaths, and the organising of civil marriage and partnership ceremonies.

The main office is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.30 to 12.30 , and on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2.00 to 4.00.

We hold civil ceremonies in the Register Office itself and also in a number of local hotels and other establishments.

We also hold historical Registers of births, marriages and deaths dating back to 1837 for the towns of Cockermouth, Workington, Maryport and Keswick, and can supply copies of Register entries.

The Registrar of births and deaths is at this office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11.30.until 1.00 . If you would like to make an appointment to register a birth or death we are on 07812972947.
